about ana &

the archive

Hi I'm Anastasia Camille Morgan but I'd much prefer if you called me Ana. This fall, I'm entering my fourth year at Oberlin College majoring in anthropology and theater with a minor in French (ça va?). My academic journey is a synthesis of cultural exploration, linguistic appreciation, and the performing arts. I've also worked retail at a few different places, maybe I sold you jeans at a certain posh boutique in downtown Ann Arbor, who knows? Fashion has always been a part of my personal, academic, and professional life. Thanks to Oberlin and Boro Detroit, this summer I'm able to delve into an opportunity to explore fashion in many different lights. the archive is a documentation of this journey. Thank you for being here :)

A note about the archive

The original goal of the archive was to create a digital archive that shared the stories behind certain pieces in the store, whether that was the runway collection they were released in or the story of the previous wearer. Clients could scan QR codes attached to the pieces while shopping in-store and learn more about them, providing a deeper connection to the history and significance of the clothing, and enriching the overall experience for customers. In this *new era* all of this will still be happening! but with a little more personal flavor. the archive will now host a selection of Boro's offerings, their history, and my "weekly joys," a more personal blog encompassing whatever I want it to that week tbh. I hope to make this new generation more "ana-esque" and less academic. Fashion is fun. This should be fun.
